## In His Own Words

> When I was 8, I won a national black belt title. (It helps when your dad
> owns a Tae Kwon Do studio that you grow up in.)
>
> Shortly after graduating with my undergraduate degree in Business
> Management and Society from UNC-Chapel Hill, my part-time music hobby
> turned into a full-time pursuit as the lead MC in a hip-hop group,
> Dirty5Thirty. (I can still drop a sick beat!)
>
> Since then I have enjoyed a career in Management, Operations, and Sales in
> the Real Estate, Hospitality, and Service industries.
>
> I love working in fast-paced, dynamic, and customer-centric environments,
> leading teams to achieve big goals.
>
> In my spare time, I am an unapologetic superhero movie fan, gamer, reader,
> homeless population service volunteer, and a student of Theology and
> Biblical Studies.

## Faith & Redemption

In 2017, Geno shared his story with The Summit Church about the years he
spent incarcerated, the turning point that led him to faith, and the
community that welcomed him home after his release in 2016. He continues to
stay connected to men still inside, leading a Bible study through letters
and talking with friends in prison every week.
